  2. Cloaks affiliate links
  3. Enables you to sell numerous digital products in just 1 ClickBank vendor account
  4. Enables you to sell digital products with just a PayPal account
  5. Protects your download pages
  6. Encrypts your download links
  7. Automatically generates PayPal, ClickBank, and EJunkie payment buttons

So I ask you, what more do you need?

Use Your Own Redirection including Real Cloaking with Pretty Link

I don’t know about you, but I’ve searched for and purchased many different scripts that would hopefully redirect and cloak my affiliate links properly, only to discover that NONE of these solutions worked well enough for me.  I’ve tried some hosted solutions, including paid ones, but always dreaded the fact that these programs might eventually disappear.  I paid for some scripts that could be uploaded to my shared server too, and found their operation lacking.

Shortly after I jumped into WordPress, I discovered an absolute gem (plug-in) that is easily integrated into a blog at the push of an upload button.  It’s called Pretty Link, authored by Blair Williams.  After using Pretty Link for several weeks, I can give this free plug-in a five-star thumbs up.  *****  What’s really cool is that it this plug-in isn’t “bound” to your blog.  In other words, you can map any affiliate link of your choice and use the program to redirect links in all your advertising.

Want to use a temporary redirect that reveals the landing page URL after redirect?  No problem.
Want to use a fully cloaked and persistent redirect?  No problem.

Pretty Link offers the marketer incredible flexibility and a myriad of options which are defined per link.  All this, coupled with a clean user interface makes this resource hard to beat and one that I am going to stick with.  Obviously whether you choose to use it is really up to you, but you’d be crazy not to try it out.

From your administration panel in WordPress, just search the WP repository for Pretty Link and start using it right away.  IMO, you’ll be very happy with the results.

Everyone Loves a (valuable) Freebie

Even if the membership options are too rich for your liking, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page and at the bottom right click on the freebie link.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Could you use a free autoresponder?

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have an autoresponder integrated into my Wordpress blog.  Why?  Well I don’t have a valid excuse, other than I’m a bit lazy and would rather pump out fresh posts regularly.  But I have subscribed to a new autoresponder service that is completely free (scroll down and see the ad on the bottom right).  I haven’t activated anything yet, so I can’t vouch for the effectiveness and operability of the system.  I can tell you that the service is brand new and does not yet have tutorials on setting up your account.  However, I did happen to find an “unofficial” users manual, which I will attach for your use.  If it works for you, great.  If not, just toss!

Website heat maps

Website Magazine just published a concise article about the use of heat maps by designers, focusing on three major talking points.  To view the article, click here.

If you want to start experimenting with heat maps and discover which areas of your Web pages are most frequently used by visitors, I highly recommend you start with a free service like LabsMedia’s “ClickHeat”, which you can access by clicking here.

By understanding how visitors interact with your websites, you can adjust your site’s design to improve usability and, ultimately, influence conversion.
